It all comes down to one profound idea:
We're all humans with many levels of experience and complexity. Our political opinions, are only one aspect of who we are as people.
Start with kindness and respect see where it goes. Tolerance is a good thing.
You may also experience some withdrawal from the lack of a head-pounding dopamine rush caused by the hate, poison, dehumanization and cognitive dissonance of the bird site.

Confession:
I havenโt been able to stomach the web since, well fuck, since the asshole got kicked out of office.
Burnt out on the battle to remove him and the day to day struggle to remain sane while he was in office.
Jโs creation here and the good people, people I adore actually and dammit you know who you are kept me sane and focussed. The antidote against asshole was caring about people and seeing them as multi-dimensional outside of out politics. A community who soldiered on.

After spending 40+ years here in this country I finally took the oath and became a citizen last month. And some people were surprised in my circle and I had to tell them there was an America I still believed in, the one that liberated my country in WWII (I wasnโt around for that of course) and I knew could be and in my mind I was thinking of CoSo. CoSo is my America. The values and aspirations here. The seeing beyond politics (but never accepting fascism) and value of all.
