When I was a kid I was on the school lunch program. Sometimes it would be free, but usually it was a discounted price.
Some days I would go hungry because I had not the 40 cent copay for my meal. Sometimes friends would give me their roll or what they didn't want from the days meal.
I have known starvation because there was no lunch program in the summer or over breaks. And my parents couldn't afford to get groceries at times.
Always support the people wanting to feed the hungry.
that must be making shrivel into a ketchup stain.
Wow, it looks like every single person in Pennsylvania - and 3 states around - showed up for this Harris/Walz rally.
It's things like that that make me feel better and better about our candidates.
Who called it the politics of joy? That person nailed it.
"Case in point: In March of 2023, Walz held a Capitol news conference to unveil a Little Free Library filled with books he claimed were "banned" in red states. "We're going make very clear in Minnesota, for every book you ban in Iowa and Florida, we'll put ten of them out," he said at the time.
Hmpf. I suppose we can let it go just this once.
Oooh, yum! Did you bring enough for everyone?
At the end of 2023โs legislative session-
"Minnesota is showing the country you don't win elections to bank political capital - you win elections to burn political capital and improve lives."
~ Governor Walz
