A lovely couple I met here on CoSo sent us this azalea bonsai after my husband's sister died. My SIL had picked Azalea as her middle name, and her favorite color was pink. My husband named the bonsai after his sister, and he has been tending it carefully. Today she exploded in blooms, with more to come. β€οΈπ₯Ή

Every spring, creepy black 'spiders' sprout up on Mars as buried carbon dioxide ice releases dusty geysers of gas. New ESA images show the phenomenon has begun in the strange Inca City formation
The formations are actually channels of gas measuring 45 meters to 1 kilometer across. They originate when the weather starts to warm in the southern hemisphere during Martian spring. The warmth causes the lowest layers of carbon dioxide ice to turn to gas, or sublimate.
