That’s really powerful. One of the first things we must learn is that we aren’t the roles we play. We are individuals. We count.
And this goes for anyone - transgender, BIPOC, differently-abled, and so on.
At the same time, we do inhabit roles that are also important & defining. Let’s make sure they’re affirming ones. “That old lady over there” is less lovely than “the beautiful petite person near the canned peas.”
