Thanks, Wolfie! I'm not familiar with brexlink but I'll look for them next time.
The guy is an asshole.
We usually get Anker or Belkin, and a loooong cord so I can keep working while it charges.
I am no expert but I'd recommend getting the best charger and cord your budget allows. It's not necessary to match the phone brand (unless you have apple) but it doesn't hurt. Most of the time the worst that happens if you don't is a sloooow charge, but there is a risk of the cheap chargers damaging the phone or even starting a fire.
@cassandra17lina with a special shout out to those horrid people who price gouge evacuees for emergency lodging & needs.
Pro Tip: If you're considering voting for Robert Kennedy Jr., it might be wise to keep that to yourself. #RFK
If your cord is loosely plugged into the phone or the charger. Or if the charger is loosely plugged into the outlet.

Not sure who's more likable here - the gov who updates followers on his dog's adventure or the dog who looks like this was the most fun ever and it's time to make plans for tomorrow!
I suspect they just take a chance and don't really look all that closely at your giving habits.
Old or crummy charger cord. Or a bad connection
I get donation requests from all over. Once you're tagged as a giver, all hands are out looking to be filled.
Musing...
I think one of the reasons that the science community largely ignores or shouts down people who are bringing in "evidence" that climate change and global warming is not manmade, is that the evidence being brought in is the same evidence that was brought in hundreds of times before and has already been tested over and over to the point that it is considered junk science.
It is not silencing dissenters, it is reading a copied term paper for the 10th time with someone else's name on it.

Well he has really good name recognition right now. I imagine a lot of causes would be thrilled if he allowed them to use it
I bet that's it. One thing to consider is maybe they did not share your number. They could be sending the texts in his name. It's very common among political groups.
Huh. These days, websites usually ask straightforwardly for the number if they want it. And they really can't just record it because the phone number itself isn't even used in connecting.
Someone gave them your number. If you didn't, perhaps some organization/website you shared it with did.
Hm. Did you visit the campaign web site using your phone?
