Old or crummy charger cord. Or a bad connection
@BrazenlyLiberal OK so.. bad connection? What would that entail? TYVM
If your cord is loosely plugged into the phone or the charger. Or if the charger is loosely plugged into the outlet.
We usually get Anker or Belkin, and a loooong cord so I can keep working while it charges.
I am no expert but I'd recommend getting the best charger and cord your budget allows. It's not necessary to match the phone brand (unless you have apple) but it doesn't hurt. Most of the time the worst that happens if you don't is a sloooow charge, but there is a risk of the cheap chargers damaging the phone or even starting a fire.
Thanks, Wolfie! I'm not familiar with brexlink but I'll look for them next time.
@wolfwoman @BrazenlyLiberal my original shout our was to anyone willing to share knowledge. :)
No charger came with the S24... :(
Do you mean the wall plug or car charger?
@TrueBloodNet @BrazenlyLiberal
I was specifically thinking of the wall charger, since my S22 didn't come with a car charger. But I will say that my SIL clued me in to buying the best car charger possible and he was right. Most of the cheaper ones don't have enough power. So my last purchase has 3.0 in both ports, and it's amazing how fast it charges.
@wolfwoman @BrazenlyLiberal TYVM! I am going to possibly have my friend's car for a few months so I'll look for one (if the car thang happens!)
@BrazenlyLiberal @TrueBloodNet
I know nobody asked me, lol, but I've experimented with a ot of stuff for this exact issue. 1. the actual charger makes a huge difference. fastest charging I get is from the samsung charger that came with the phone. 2. best cords I've ever found are called brexlink. They come in various lengths, so we have a 10' one to reach from front car charger to rear seats for kids.
But absolutely avoid the cheap chargers! Wasted money. IMHO ;)
