@CrystallineEntity This will be so. What we are witnessing are the death throes of the GOP. They have lashed themselves to the mast that flys the flag of a dwindling demographic coalition. They are grasping at power like a drowning man clawing for air.

@peeppeepcircus I saw this in a NASA.gov piece. The issue is that IDing these site, while critical, doesn't solve the problem. The largest emitter detected to date is an extraction field in Turkmenistan. How do we shut it down? How do we mitigate the damage? Those are the next critical questions.

@Devlyn_Angel The number of Texans that support the policies that you have been describing has been dropping for more than a decade. In another decade (or perhaps less), a guy like Beto can win there. Chin up! Keep fighting.

Today's job: Start to move this pile to it's new home... ugh!

Did anyone else watch Karl Rove make a fool of himself last night on Fox? At the start ion the night he was certain of a red wave, but as things began to turn, he continued to double down on the red wave, even when the hosts/talking heads were clearly unable to see it. Even at 2AM he was still prognosticating 20+ GOP seat gain in the house.

@FabulousLVNV Laxalt won't win. The outstanding vote in NV is same-day walk-in, and mostly mail-in. There are 4 more days of mail-in that will be accepted. The block from Clark and Washau (150k+) will break 3-2 or better for CCM. Sisolak has a bigger gap to close, and that will be a nail-biter.

@Americancrawl Search for and check out the counter.social/userguide.pdf

All done! Roof, purlins, rafters and trim. Tomorrow the real work starts as I move a huge pile of wood into neat stacks.

@RealSeanBrodrick They can't make electric cars fast enough. Everywhere I look there are waiting lists years long for popular EV models. I know many that won't buy the next new car until they can get the current generation EV.

I was 5th in line at my town voting station this morning. The line was up to 75 or so by the time the doors opened at eight (it's a small town; only a few thousand). The energy was good. Maine, oddly, uses ranked-choice voting, but only for federal elections. So, while the governor was a pick-one situation, I had to rank the congressional candidates.

@peeppeepcircus good guesses! It will be a shelter to stack and dry firewood. I am ditching my oil furnace and moved to geothermal this summer and need to be ready to use our fireplace.

Starting over here isn't as daunting as you might think. To get any kind of appreciable following there, you had to spend years battling bad actors and algorithms that work to suppress you.

Those things don't exist here. Just be yourself, and you'll have a solid following in no time.

Progress! I should finish tomorrow, weather permitting. This will be a small part of my effort to make a net zero home out of a 1996 cape we bought last summer.

@pendrag @th3j35t3r I second that! Yeoman's work sir! You need a staff, and deserve a hearty libation!
