@cornered

Ooo.
Russia has bullied Kazakhstan around forever. Nice to see them standing up.

@051G @YouInMyEye

Oh, and the Atty General is keeping a list of trans people.

Thankfully, I've not transitioned legally precisely because I don't trust these fuckers. I'll do that in Washington.

@051G @YouInMyEye

You can change your name, if it's not associated with gender transition.

@preclude

I bet there's plenty of people in his own state who are "like 'oh my gosh'...

What a knob

@051G

Yeah, the Eastern part of Oregon and Washington are more similar to Idaho. Real white nationalist sovereign citizen types.

Thankfully, they're easy to avoid and don't hold much power at the state level.
Whereas here in Texas, the state is not only refusing to change gender markers on IDs or change names if it's part of a gender change--they are reversing gender and name changes that have already been done legally.

Moving to Washington state in May. I expect it to be one of the states that most resist fascism, should he win.

Though I may have to leave the US. It won't be safe for trans people.

@FrankCannon

There's no way this was a one off. And I suspect his having been a drug overdose affected medical staff's attitude toward him.

I'm glad you stayed connected with us.
Seeing your posts always lifts my spirits.

Really beautiful. Somehow both grounded and ethereal at once.

I've been pretty good this week. Staying on top of my work, enjoying my reading. Working my way through House of Leaves and loving it.

Birthday's next Thursday, and I'm taking a 10 day vacation, during which I plan to focus on writing and planning my move to the Pacific NW next year.

Moved by this beautiful painting:

And I'm pretty much where I want to be. I'll probably finish my workday a bit early--in a little over an hour.

Putting a student into the position that killed someone seems like it could be, if not criminal, then something he could be sued over.

Be careful how you donate to Harris if you are so inclined. Elon Musk has set up a decoy site to steal your money and give it to Trump

Oh, Kurt.
*No one* said cool when Connery wore this. Not even he could make this outfit cool. And I LOVE Zardoz.

This is extremely weird. That's just standard catwalk face. Unless modeling has changed a lot in the past decade. I always thought it was strange that models were expected to look bored and never smile during a fashion show.

(OK, it's probably more like 15 years since I regularly followed fashion shows.)
