I make the same old joke every year. Someone says "He is risen!" and I reply "Great. Did he make the coffee?"
It never struck me as offensive, but as an atheist I may not be the best judge.
It would be nice if we could each respect the other's position, so please let me know if I cross the line. A joke isn't worth hurting someone needlessly.

Have you read “Lamb, The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal” by Christopher Moore? It has much the same plot and vibe.

YES!!! It's one of the few books that genuinely made me laugh out loud. One of the funniest things I've ever read. All of Moore's books are fantastic but Lamb is my favorite.
