@singlemaltgirl @kayleenmeow I keep telling her that I am the luckiest man alive but she doesn't believe me.
@jackdetate It absolutely would. I have the same doubt about being able to change the court. I think if we want that corrupt court changed, we are going to have to take some action ourselves rather than rely on our government to find the motivation to change it for us. I have a feeling we are going to have to behave like a union for a while to get things moving in the right direction.
@cornered Lol, all of those "modern" programming languages are written in C/C++.
If we want to get rid of Citizens United, it is going to take the people participating in a General Strike. You are not going to convince the people who benefit from Citizens United to turn off the cash cow. They will find millions of rea$ons that no change can possibly be made forever. If we want the corruption to stop, it is up to us, the people, to stop it. It takes courage and perseverance, but unions get changes like this all the time.
@Tacitus_Kilgore Nothing changed. Those same people supported it in other countries. They just pretended to be "decent" because it used to be socially unacceptable to be so barbaric. They are still the same people.
They are just being manipulated into showing their true colors now by a bunch of billionaires in a quest for ultimate power and control.
@Faay Windows has a built in app called HWMONITOR, I believe. On Linux, Conky is one people often suggest as it is easy to install.
@carmen I agree with you. Nobody wants to hear that Garland abdicated his responsibilities *again*. He did, though.
@carmen Delay until after election and it becomes entirely moot. It is a pretty transparent strategy.
@redenigma I have been strongly considering investing in one myself. Smart kiddo.
@Iskios Last time, they failed to find any proof of voter fraud. This time, they have gone out of their way to make sure there is proof of voter fraud. It doesn't matter to them that they are the ones causing voter fraud, they are simply manufacturing a problem to refer to when they claim the election was stolen again.
@QueenOfEverything I probably should have said 'judge takes no action to stop' rather than 'letting him continue'. Fair point. Also, excellent article.
@feloneouscat Stack Overflow people have religious wars over 4k being the default page size on most systems and being sufficient for any IPC communication. Linux kernels default them up to 16k.
@Liliki There are no consequences for Musk. He can flout the laws. He simply refused to show up to court. They won't issue a bench warrant. He could care less what they laws are because they do not apply to him. The DOJ is way too timid to actually take any action against him.
@Senua If you really want to watch it, maybe consider watching it on CoSo. I believe @th3j35t3r will be having a watch party. Better than channel surfing.
@MrsE0113 Super hilarious as the original quote, if anybody actually bothered to research it, was taken completely out of context and intentionally misrepresented so they could clutch pearls about it. This is by far their most disingenuous complaint yet. Stupid parlor trick.
