One reason I'm so fanatical about my strength training regimen? I want to avoid the surgery path my neighbors have followed. This week, the husband was taken to the ER with yet another dislocation of his twice-replaced hip (he’s had 3 hips replacements and one or two knee surgeries) and his wife has had 3+ spinal surgeries and hip replacements. Post operative problems and failed outcomes leaving them both barely ambulatory, Their unabated trust in surgeons mystifies me.
