I fixed my computer issue when running Windows! It looks like a hardware issue with a secondary onboard monitor, disabled for now. Whew, really didn't want to loose Win 11 Pro!

The silver lining is I did a clean install, so it included none of the bundled crapware that came with the machine. 😉 😂

Still planning to install a dual boot setup with Linux, but had to see first if I could save Windows.

You might think I'd have better things to do at 1am on a Monday than to braid my beard and twist my sideburns into horizontal "liberty spikes." You'd be right! 🤷‍♂️ 😂 🤣

No pics yet, but don't put it past me. 😉 😂

Installing Windows is still as much fun as it was in the days of 13 floppy discs. 🙄 Some things never change. 🤷‍♂️ 😂

I spent > 2 hours on it this evening between the installation running and all the setup crap before you even see the desktop.

It didn't fix my flashing monitor problem, either. 🙄 Didn't really expect it to, just wanted to give it one last chance. I think I can still fix it down the road.

Next I'm installing Linux Mint! Start the timer, and hold my beer! 🤓 😎

Re my computer "glitch":

I've eliminated the possibility of a quick, easy fix through normal Windows recovery options. I'm all backed up. So...

No more Mr. Nice Guy, I'm going old-school! 😈 💪 😎

I still have to modernize a few of my "tools," but I'm about ready to wipe the hard drive and install from scratch. Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure. 😉 😂

I'll end up with a dual-boot or multi-boot setup running Win 11 Pro and at least one flavor of Linux. 🤓 😋

Hey, gang! I'm back after a brief SNAFU with my computer. In fact, it was AFU. 😂 Screen strobing like a disco light. I thought at first it was driver-related after an OS update, but it runs deeper. Going to try Refresh/Restore.

In the meantime, I've decided it's time to take the plunge (back) into #Linux! 🎉 I'm trying #Mint on the advice of my brother, and a couple of folks here.

And what, you ask, was my very first action in Linux? Logging in to CoSo, of course! 😊 🐿️
