@Rigthar I remember a series like that. It was infuriating. I write my own series where you can start wherever you want because all the stories are standalone and don't require you to have done homework in advance.
For me, all books start as five stars. They can lose stars for various egregious flaws (minor flaws get a pass unless there are so many it becomes an egregious amount). If a book drops below three stars in my mind, I won't finish it.
Today I didn't finish one. The 1st star dropped because the main character was pretty much infallible. The 2nd because the plot wasn't advancing beyond action scenes where Ms. Infallible remained so. 3rd was a gratuitous torture scene and I was done.
Good morning, #cosonauts. Happy Monday and all that. We grabbed NHL24 over the weekend so my daughter and I each started a new playthrough of that. My NHL23 player, Lashaun Washington, got drafted by the NJ Devils, won a Cup, got promoted to captain, then missed half the subsequent season due to injury.
Now it's his younger brother Tyrell's turn to shine in this dynasty of Baltimore hockey players.
@Knitpurrl I told that over the phone to my wife, and she said it was so bad I should call my daughter and tell it to her, which I did.
She laughed.
Then she told me in graphic detail how great a job her snake was doing eating his rodent, so I guess we both won this round.

I'm overjoyed and thankful for the team at Ruffle.rs and to Jeff Yaus.
HM3 is still too complex to work with Ruffle but I hope one day it'll be fully supported.
This site was a major part of my life for 25 years. Verklempt a piece of it lives again.
