Okay, I gotta 'fess up, y'all. I'm having a go of it trying to be the calm, stable adult in the house. Son and I had to start the claim process with our insurance. Well, I learned that his car didn't just wreck; it rolled. Ffs. I've already lost one son. To find out that kiddo #2 was closer to... I don't even want to say it.
Subconscious is telling me how stressed I truly am by way of using dreams. CPTSD is a MFer. Not letting it win today, just for today.

I drew blood from others for years before I had blood drawn from me. It’s different. Your logic and reason doest really apply. Its ok, it aint rational. I have no problem with needles, blood, but when I had blood drawn I was freaked the first time.
Just commenting cuz I think we should talk more about giving blood.
Necessity, meet Mother.
Household adjustments are being made to make son's life a little easier. Given that my gentle giant will be wearing a back brace for a few months, even minor bending to lift the toilet lid was a hardship. Lid stays down to protect Diego the Cat from misadventure.
4-ply acrylic worsted (6 sc tube), 2 wood popsicle sticks, duct tape. Voila!

A while back, I took a Mental Health First Aid course. I learned a *lot* from it. As with physical first aid, it's not about diagnosing or curing, it's about identifying signs that someone may be in trouble, and what steps you can take to help them in the immediate moment until they can get professional help.
Some intrepid CoSonauts who are far better at math than us have done, well, the math.
A Pro account costs a scant $0.17 per day.
Seventeen pennies.
We can't think of anything that provides better value than that. #CoSoTips
The past two days were so physically taxing and mentally stressful that my son and I agreed to wait until Monday before dealing with insurance or medical professionals. After he was discharged from the hospital yesterday, we managed to retrieve important items from his wrecked car. Airbag didn't even deploy. It's a miracle he wasn't more severely injured or killed. Nothing but relief and gratitude, believe it. 💖

If one had asked my son or I how either of us wanted to spend this evening, being in the emergency department was certainly not on that list. Apparently he had a nasty accident while driving home from work. All he remembers is coming to, here in the hospital. He's drifting in & out, has an obvious knot on his noggin, and it looks like the seatbelt nearly broke the skin on his neck. Only thing we know for sure is that he does have a wrist fracture. For now, we wait.
