The asshole who helped write the abortion law which gave a bounty tried to expand it after his marriage failed (basically had it been upheld would have resulted in “bankruptcy by court”) got shot down by the Constitution: you don’t have the right to force someone to self-incriminate.
We won one. This time.
We need to kick Republicans out of office. Vote.
It’s not JUST ONE VOTE: it’s millions of people thinking “it’s just one vote”: we are a blue state held hostage by Republicans.
“Mitchell then appealed to the Texas Supreme Court, which denied the petition in June in a three-sentence order. One justice of that court, in a concurring opinion, called out Silva’s “disgracefully vicious harassment and intimidation of his ex-wife Brittni during the course of their marriage’s demise and during this litigation,” noting that his “atrocious treatment” of her made him a “particularly unsuitable beneficiary of this Court’s discretionary” powers.”
Alex Trevek:
"We're going to take care of your situation, and will force it down his throat. And we'll say, Gavin, if you don't do it, we're not giving any of that fire money that we send you all the time for all the fire, forest fires that you have. It's not hard to do."
Contestant: Something a terrorist would say?
Alex Trebek: Just a minute… we were looking for Putin, but that is acceptable.
Turns out it was Putin’s lapdog, Trump.
“ Trump's parade of giveaways comes at a time when presidential hopefuls are typically busy fine-tuning existing proposals rather than making a host of new ones with little acknowledgment of the fiscal cost to be paid down the road.”
He promised a lot in 2016 and during his presidency.
He broke most of those promises. There was a tax break. But you had to be in the 1% to see real benefit.
Raise your hand if you made $800,000 during Trump! We didn't.
Just when you thought the NYT couldn’t go lower: sanitizing eugenics.
“ The New York Times has taken the mainstream media’s sanewashing of Donald Trump to the next level, this time with an innocuous-sounding headline: ‘Trump’s Remarks on Migrants Illustrate His Obsession With Genes.’”
What a garbage paper it’s become.

“Rudy Giuliani’s son is trying to stop two Georgia election workers who won a $148 million defamation judgment against his father from taking the elder Giuliani’s New York Yankees World Series rings, saying in new court filings that he is actually the rightful owner because they were gifted to him years ago“
Is this like Trump’s mentally declassifying things?
The kid apparently should have talked to his dad because Rudy listed them as HIS property.
Oops.
The new term? Trump isn’t lying, “directionally correct—or sometimes directionally accurate” — the facts are wrong but if they weren’t he’d be right.
Uh. This makes no sense.
“In response to ABC News' requests concerning Trump's medical records, his campaign is pointing to previous letters released by former White House physician Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, and Trump's personal physician, Dr. Bruce Aronwald.”
Isn’t Jackson the one who admitted to writing what Trump said?
It’s funny, when I was younger, I didn’t have cancer. Or high blood pressure. Or osteoarthritis. It’s as if health years or decades ago isn’t the same as TODAY.
WEIRD.
Nuke storage may be illegal.
“But the 5th Circuit essentially ignored the text. It instead declared that temporary storage is a “major question” because it involves nuclear material…. Congress has to come in and authorize it even more clearly. Why? Because the question “has been hotly politically contested for over a half century.” It’s just that damn major, Dahlia! And until Congress approves temporary licenses again, 5th Circuit will simply veto all nuclear storage”

Even my oncologist doesn’t wear a mask. Aside from one or two people, no one in the waiting room does. I had lymphoma. I almost died from a paper cut (not a joke: I was on a bag of antibiotics in the ER)
Wear a mask for people like me. I wear a mask, but if we all do we won’t kill someone who is immunocompromised (you know, like me).
Until I was immunocompromised I didn’t really understand in my gut. It’s very scary and anything you can do really helps.
The cat version of “uncanny valley.”
