I can't get over how MAGAs don't seem to notice that Trump is complaining over and over and over about having to show up a few days a week at most from 9am to 4pm. With a lunch break and other breaks even!

And he can't stay awake, and complaining about the temperature in the courtroom

You can tell he never had a real job in his life.

Why is the CoSo Chrome tab using 2.5 GB of my memory? Granted, I have 32 GB installed so it's not stressing my system, but it seems a bit much.

"In the declaration from the Department of Homeland Security, filed under penalty of perjury, DHS claims that following a data breach in December 2020, Wolf and Cuccinnelli were given temporary phones and instructed to use Signal to communicate in December 2020 and January 2021. DHS claims the agency retained the Signal messages, but given that one of Signal’s selling points is its “disappearing messages” feature, the accuracy of this claim may be questionable." citizensforethics.org/reports-

I first got into audiobooks when I had a job that required me to drive for up to 6 hours a day. With that much windshield time, I quickly grew tired of FM radio and music in general and needed something besides the conservative talk radio programs that dominated the AM airwaves. With audiobooks (at that time on tape and CD), I found myself looking forward to the windshield time.

How do you not file your income taxes for 5 years? I get nervous if it's 11:59 PM on the deadline and I haven't gotten a confirmation email yet that they've received my paperwork.

I suspect a friend is experiencing a cognitive decline but I'm not sure how to approach her about it. She's begun to frequently repeat herself and doesn't seem to be aware that she's doing it. For example, she's now told me the same story 3X in about 5 weeks and it does not seem she remembers telling it to me previously.

Many great shows here but most aren't available for streaming anywhere currently.

"False accusations are rare but they do happen. For this reason, it's important to document every action taken on behalf of the customer and to obtain their verbal consent for each action. Consent should be given in the affirmative, never in the negative."

Seems like sound advice for most customer interactions because folks be trippin'....

That moment when your friend says something that makes no damn sense because you used to work in that industry, so you debate whether to call them out on it or just let it pass...

Pretty impressed with Adam Mockler - this 21 year old guy is smarter than most press and politicians. And the way he's about to talk to some of these MAGA folks is an inspiration.

The downside of working from home is when your internet connection turns to utter crap so you can't get much of anything done until it's fixed.

For years, scientists have known people who use neti pots can become infected with a brain-eating amoeba if they use the wrong kind of water. On Wednesday, researchers linked a second kind of deadly amoeba to nasal rinsing.

Back when I first started working, anything over 8 hours in a day was paid as overtime. Any work hours scheduled on a Sunday were also paid as overtime. A few years later, overtime became anything over 40 hours for the week, and Sundays were paid as regular time. There's been a steady shift to weaseling out of paying overtime.

I learned a family friend who died recently had a master's degree in geology but spent his career completely outside that field, active in local politics and business. I'm not sure how one makes that particular pivot from geology but he certainly did.

If the instructions say to write a paper that is 2-3 pages long and you turn in a paper that is 7 pages long, I think you should fail the assignment. The instructions were for brevity and you didn't deliver brevity. Am I wrong?

I heard on APR "Marketplace" that in the post-pandemic era 74% of restaurant business is of the off-premises variety, delivery or takeout, compared to 61% before the pandemic. It's not just your perception, people aren't dining in restaurants as much anymore.

I started watching "The Irrational" on Peacock last night and found it quite enjoyable as a fan of such shows. It reminds me of "Numb3rs" but with psychology. They do a good job of adding a serialized mystery to an episodic show. (FWIW I picked up this show after dropping "Constellation" on AppleTV after 4 episodes.)
