Back when I first started working, anything over 8 hours in a day was paid as overtime. Any work hours scheduled on a Sunday were also paid as overtime. A few years later, overtime became anything over 40 hours for the week, and Sundays were paid as regular time. There's been a steady shift to weaseling out of paying overtime.
