@Jorro I've noticed a similar influx of YouTube ads like this. Scam City.

@BrentSullivan Yes, but only one of those groups wrote a charter proclaiming the elimination of the other as their goal.

It was Hamas.

@PurpleDragon @99reasons4truth It's a bit ambiguous in this one but there was an earlier post that was less so.

@99reasons4truth While I can appreciate these posts as expressions of art, I think you are dancing dangerously close to the line on posting pornographic content. Others have been banned for going down this path. I suggest reacquainting yourself with the user guidelines and restrictions.

Kamala Harris proposes to have Medicare cover in-home care for seniors and people with disabilities. Imagine how great this would be!

@publickovacs @GeezerWench It's Friday. As long as today happens without incident your class should be back to normal by Monday. Hopefully, this student isn't stupid and won't hold a grudge over the weekend.

Also, you probably did nothing wrong but something rubbed her the wrong way or pushed one of her buttons. You may simply resemble someone that has wronged her in the past. Or she may simply hate being in school or the course you are teaching.

None of those are your fault. πŸ‘

@publickovacs @GeezerWench Glad you're OK. Detention at my school means multiple days out of class so I don't understand how the student is going to be back the very next day. That's not a sufficient consequence. I hope the student was at least told that could be considered assault which could have criminal consequences.

I'm sorry that you feel the need to be guarded in your own classroom but that seems appropriate. You should DEFINITELY act like you're in control.

@mike_calamari I don't think Biden is ignoring it. The work is just not playing out in public. For the past 20-30 years the focus of our intelligence agencies has been on terrorists, etc. rather than bad state actors. Because of China and Russia, America has had to pivot its intelligence agencies back to them.

@CinnamonGirlE @LnzyHou It will. It will take many weeks to clear the damage and probably years to fully recover. But it will.

@CinnamonGirlE @LnzyHou But there is hope.

The Wesleyan Church had tables beside the road with free supplies and 3 other churches are doing similar things. This is the main street through Old Fort with sidewalks. Military personnel were operating small front loaders and using shovels to extract the tree stumps that had lodged into the bridge from the overflowing water. People and cars were everywhere: working, cleaning, and transporting supplies. This has brought the community together again.

@CinnamonGirlE @LnzyHou Drove through Old Fort yesterday. People had described it as a warzone but I had not seen any pictures. Unfortunately, that description was accurate.

There's no green anywhere. The ground is dirt and covered with piles of tree logs, branches, and stumps everywhere as people clean up. There's mud and dirt everywhere. Two churches were flooded and had their pews in a pile waiting to be hauled off. Most buildings survived except those closest to the river.

@OldDude71 My favorite counter argument to this which I have yet to hear a politician argue is this:

Billionaires made their money in America by using the banks, roads, citizens, and other resources here. So they owe it to America to pay their fair share to regulate those banks, pave those roads, educate those citizens, and more. Those are our tax dollars at work building infrastructure and providing services. Every business profits from this system and so must maintain it.
