I don't remember how I found this surreal cover, and even if I did i probably wouldn't share where. But it's fun, in a "WTF did I just watch" way. Enjoy NMKY:

Also Mt Adam's rumbling, and the unexplained sulfur odors around Portland.
Cascadia is generally less affected by climate change than much of the world; but we've got our own, longer-term issues to be concerned about.
That said, little quakes and fault movements are generally good - releasing strains slowly.
This cover of Hotel California by Moyun, on traditional Guzheng, is both beautiful and brilliant. A must see.

Just heard this on Deep Tracks, and it's such a great song. Catchy riff, nice hook; but the lyrics are so damn problematic and troubling.
Can you imagine these lyrics from Justin Beiber? There'd be widespread outrage and ambition.

@LnzyHou Like I said, since we've altered the bears environment, they need their numbers thinned, or there's big problems for the bears and their new human neighbors.
Also, bear is good - just needs cooked correctly.

My daughter-in-law would take the grandkids to "the toy shop" every couple months. It was the local thrift store. They'd donate the toys the didn't use much anymore, and pick out "new" ones.
The kids loved it. "Grandpa, we went to the toy shop and I got this: proudly showing off their treasures." Brilliant.

We're working on learning bird language(s); meanwhile they're disappearing as the climate changes. Fascinating article, I love the New Yorker.
@LnzyHou
Hunting is good for the environment, and beneficial to the overall wildlife population.
Overpopulation, particularly as human infrastructure intrudes into habitats, causes disease, reduces genetic diversity, and starvation.
Wildlife management is a good thing. Modern hunting rifles, other weapons, and gear, along with greater dedication and skills of hunters themselves reduces animal suffering from the hunt.

The campaign antics of someone who knows that "the fix is in."
Be prepared. Buy a big hammer to take to DC. We're going to have to turn the Supreme Court building into rubble to make a point.

80% of stock is owned by the top 1%. They have to put their money somewhere, so the market keeps rising.
The way to fix this is to raise marginal tax rates back to pre-Reagan levels, and close both the "stock as salary" and "loan against unrealized gains" loopholes.
Tax all income the same, wages, interest, and (realized) capital gains. Require banks to treat loans against unrealized gains as unsecured.

WTF? Their response, even after weeks of White House discussion was "Huh. We don't know what to do about this."
I'll tell you what you do: you knock one down and figure out what's going on. Morons.
@northernbassist
A modern 1.6L engine would make this thing amazing! Two or three times the horsepower? Yes, please.
I know how to fix it. All of it. Just ask.
