Hunting is good for the environment, and beneficial to the overall wildlife population.
Overpopulation, particularly as human infrastructure intrudes into habitats, causes disease, reduces genetic diversity, and starvation.
Wildlife management is a good thing. Modern hunting rifles, other weapons, and gear, along with greater dedication and skills of hunters themselves reduces animal suffering from the hunt.
@LnzyHou Like I said, since we've altered the bears environment, they need their numbers thinned, or there's big problems for the bears and their new human neighbors.
Also, bear is good - just needs cooked correctly.

Spoke to couple hunters yesterday who’ve been hunting bear this week. They said they eat it but it’s hard to prepare & a lot of hunters don’t. They don’t want to drag a 300lb bear around.
That’s not okay with me. I lived in western NC for 12 years & just moved NJ month ago. They don’t hunt bears there.
They cohabitate.

Wildlife should only be taken down by those who will feed their families with the meat.
Bear is not considered tasty.
