Regarding expansion of the "supreme" court:

12 is a better idea than 13. A complete tie would be equivalent to not hearing the case: no decision either way.

The justices would be motivated towards more face-to-face and other discussion, to avoid ties. There would be a greater chance to avoid extreme decisions. Instead of two highly polarized sides, some moderate factions could form, and lead to more moderate decisions.

Besides, 13 is unlucky.

Climate change is going to make Florida uninhabitable soon enough. If you live there, you should consider selling out and moving while people still (stupidly, imho) think it's a good place to live.

The 3rd time I got high was the first time I ever saw lightning bugs. I thought I was hallucinating - that the joint had been spiked.

It took a good hour of sitting on a bench, marveling at the visions, before I remembered that fireflies were a thing.
