Yup. What the analysts have been saying is that it’s caused by hardware (a switch of the optically clear adhesive [OCA] at the last minute), but the fix is going to likely be software: pulling back the yellow. Which means I’ll bet if you look at a color image like a full-screen color book cover or picture, the bottom will still show a band of discoloration even after the fix, just in the opposite direction. You’d likely get a blue or purple cast. Fun!

My two concerns were washed out color, lower contrast ratio, and that darned yellow strip at the bottom. So icky!

I’ll probably buy one again once they fix the underlying issue. I have to imagine it’s hardware related. Probably can’t fix it, just patch it, which will be ugly.
