@corlin The Tory govt have been systematically dismantling the NHS through outsourcing, underfunding and refusing to pay staff well because they want an insurance type system as it more profitable for them..
.
@Mandypar Lol. Makes a change
@homebird funnily enough I read it as dried 😂
@homebird oooo! Yes, Cumbria was always good for freeze drying washing! As long as the gale force wind didn't rip the pegs off and send it flying over the fields 😂
@FrankCannon well polish me a turd! I'm *soooo* excited...
@homebird Totally! I always hang washing out even in winter as I prefer the smell of outside but it rarely dries so comes in for the last bit.
@homebird crazy to have such good drying weather in Nov eh? I've just hung sheets on the line here...
Have a great rest of day :)

Spouse would probably agree with you :)
Thinking about him and all the other gentle people who were forced into these situations.
If you want to know what I look like* in my non sheep form watch this and pay particular attention around 3.20 for the person in sparkly hat n shades :)
* Ok, strictly speaking it's what I looked like in 2010 while raving at Glasto but hey 😂☺️
Yes! And this is why in the situation I currently find myself in I'm up for severance rather than taking a job at a lower grade where I *know* I'll end up putting in as much effort as my current grade role cos that's who I am...
Today’s #employmenttips advice:
Act your wage. Do only what you have agreed to do, for the $$ you are being paid. NOTHING more.
Why? Because employees who give more to the company than asked of them rarely receive recognition/rewards/promotions. Why?
They’re already getting more out of you for free. That’s the goal: more profits, fewer labor costs. Company thrives, you stagnate. No incentive to change status quo.
Act your wage. If that doesn’t work, get out. It’s their problem, not yours.
@Greenmtnbear @Call_Me_Peppermint_Petty
By that point it's too late though cos you've already taken it on and are expected to keep it regardless.. IME anyway...
@Finite187 I do hope so but most of the "boomers" I know are both more left wing and more politically engaged than the younger people I know...
@Finite187 and endless... There is so much political infrastructure that there's always an election for something somewhere it seems...
We had a van for a few years but I did tent (with actual camping BED) while spouse did van due to his massive snoring and my general sleep akwardness! Advantage of working is crew camping which most years was pretty central to the stages and we also had hot showers and decent loos!
There is a vague possibility we'll get our work gig back next year - working (no pay, free entry and crew camping and food plus coffee on tap - yea) is really the only way I'd do Glasto again.
Not a sheep. Very random. Baa. ADHD
I make stuff and sometimes post pics of the stuff.
I currently work in IT but who knows for how much longer...
