headline:

"Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also sidestepped a question on whether he takes daily naps"

So what?! Lots of presidents took naps. I take a nap. Humans are meant to take naps. Lots of cultures take naps.

just made a president immune from prosecution, and the press wants to ask if he takes a nap?!

President Eisenhower had a heart attack in 1955, and a stroke in 1957. The press drumbeat began that he should resign. He didn't.

From The New York Daily News, July 2, 1944 ... The "American Democratic National Committee" threatens to endorse another candidate if FDR is renominated. Hmmm, sounds familiar ...

Why do I have the feeling that, if this were 1944, the headline would read:

"Some Top Democrats Want FDR to Quit Race This Week"

FDR was in worse shape than Biden. The difference was the absence of a televised debate.

Well, that and CNN has gone into the toilet as a news organization.

The next time someone complains about being "old," remind them that Hitler became Fรผhrer because President von Hindenberg was "old" at age 86. That sure worked out well, didn't it.

I'm thinking that today's immunity ruling is probably the dagger through the heart of the classified documents trial. He'll simply argue that removal of the documents before noon on January 20, 2021 was an "official act."

Cannon certainly seems inclined to accept that.

Retention after NARA asked for them back? She'll probably rule that it's irrelevant because the original official act was to keep them.

We know she's incompetent. This is her off-ramp.

Today's immunity ruling is the culmination of 2016's ...

"But her emails." ๐Ÿ™„

The panel brings up the question of if can self-pardon himself. The answer would seem to be yes now, because it would be an "official act" therefore he could not be criminally prosecuted for it, ergo ... he can pardon himself. Their thinking, FWIW.

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) on reminds us that just solicited $1 billion from oil companies in exchange for wiping out regulations. Under today's immunity ruling, that would be legal as an "official act."
