I'm thinking that today's #Trump immunity ruling is probably the dagger through the heart of the classified documents trial. He'll simply argue that removal of the documents before noon on January 20, 2021 was an "official act."
Cannon certainly seems inclined to accept that.
Retention after NARA asked for them back? She'll probably rule that it's irrelevant because the original official act was to keep them.
