Think about this for a second. Withdrawing his name from consideration for AG is the only leverage Matt Gates had to squash the ethics probe report. He's made enough enemies on the R side of the aisle such that if a full House vote was taken, releasing the report would likely be approved. Now it will be tabled.

I have a close acquaintance who works for the US federal government. They had a 1-on-1 with their supervisor today. The supervisor did not know there was a government continuing resolution expiring on 12/20.

The supervisor, a GS-15 pulling in ~~ $130K salary / yr, also said, "Hey, all branches of government are now run by the GOP. They'll fix this. No worries"

Not until 2025, idiot.
