Fire fighting is a dangerous occupation! I have deep appreciation for them and their efforts having been protected several times during very close wildfires.

Reading this about the crash in Greece recalled the crash that killed three while fighting a fire in the Walker River Canyon. That crash is a big reason why CA’s planes are being replaced. Nobody wants the wings to fall off another plane. That was insane!! They broke right off… 😵

Dinner is well on the way to done. Smells so good! Porcupine meatballs, basically stuffed peppers without stuffing the peppers. One of the first recipes I learned.

Sarg, our cafeteria cook in middle school, made it at least once a month. When I got my own kitchen I started making my version of his recipe. This time on the stovetop versus oven and with ground turkey. #WhatsForDinner

Family member moved from Virginia back to the West Coast. They’re in Seattle now. They went exploring their new area today and found out the gravesite of Jimi Hendrix was nearby. So they had to go of course!
