I am having a profound moment with my writing. The last few days I've been working on it, and normally the words flow, but this process has been painstaking and intense.

I've been wrestling with paragraphs instead of pages, but it's all starting to come together, and I'm just kind of amazed. This feels proper whizbang but my Gods is it putting me through my paces.

I do not know if he is or not, I hope he is redeemable., I hope that for all of us.

What I do know, at least for myself, is that I must try. All of the hatred and anger I've felt hasn't moved the needle, but showing up and caring, and doing what I can to make the world that much better, I think has.

@MidnightRider @Madken65 Nobody feels anything in a vacuum, there is always some underlying cause.

It can be a dark comfort to see bad men suffer, reaffirming a sense of justice in the world.

But we are all damaged. We have all been dark, nasty and cruel, and I think it is the beginning of wisdom to acknowledge that while those feelings are, it is compassion and care that will change the world while revenge and hatred will only destroy, sewing more seeds for people like him to arise.

@LnzyHou @CinnamonGirlE I miss being out there everyday. I could easily live out of my backpack, I feel. It was a joy to be limited to what I could carry, with my house and bed with me. Rolling into town to resupply and rest a day or two before vanishing back out again into the wood or the desert.

Slowly the miles ticked up as I headed north and watched the world change by degrees, the Mojave giving way to the Sierras, the Sierras to the Cascades, and each with their own beauty and joy.
