Let's try an analogy.

You're on a boat. It's big enough for you and all of your friends, and it weathers the seas just fine with all of you aboard.

Now let's imagine that a villainous billionaire is in the process of sinking a cruise liner next to your boat in the middle of viscious storm, and you have to scramble to keep your boat afloat as many, many, many new people climb aboard.

That's @th3j35t3r today. Be kind. This stuff tends to get sorted very quickly.

@Shar19L this site has been hit with a huge number of bird site refugees. Patience today is appreciated. The site has anticipated growth, but a little tweaking has been needed today. 💜

@abstractica try the counter Social app. Much cleaner user interface. I just downloaded today.

cnn.com/politics/live-news/nan I am sure that an assassination is going to happen. And then the GOP will bend over backwards to justify it. GOP House leader offered thoughts and prayers. How about toning down the rhetoric from his own members?

@Cosmichomicide right? My tweets have never once made an impact on whether someone votes nor whom they vote for. Not once. I have gotten rape and death threats there, but I have never changed a single mind.

My postcards to voters might have motivated someone to vote. And my door-to-door canvassing might have gotten someone to vote.

Social media is about conversing and sometimes about venting into the void. It is not about winning political battles.

@storylovr I haven’t deleted my Twitter account yet. But I am not optimistic for the future of that platform.

I note that there is a Counter Social app. Any feedback on it? Worth trying?

@DJNoneYa that’s why I dug through an old device to find my login info here. Twitter was a cesspool BEFORE it got musky. Now it’s even worse. 🤢

Hello CoSo! Another Twitter refugee here ... I am a geneticist focusing on epigenetic inheritance in yeast and in mouse, special focus these days on paternal effects and sperm biology. Gonna try to find some science peeps and some artists to follow -- say hello!

SCOTUS' first Black woman justice, Ketanji Brown Jackson, said the U.S. Constitution is not 'race blind' and that governments may consider race to ensure that people are treated equally

*breathes deeply* not too musky in here

@ecksmc I finally got in with Chrome. My favorite browser is DuckDuckGo, as it is security focused. It works pretty well with regular CoSo, but I cannot even get into Groups with that browser.

Unfortunately, the security code is such a PIA that I only went into Groups twice with Chrome. I have the code written down, but for whatever reason it doesn’t save in my Chrome browser, so I have to go get my note any time I want to get into groups. And I guess so far it hasn’t been worth the effort. 🤷‍♀️

@ecksmc I get the oops message when I click on CoSo Groups from the main menu on the right hand screen. I just assumed it wasn’t actually implemented yet. Is it up and running and just not compatible with my devices? And how many groups have formed? Very curious.

@janallmac

It’s a practical magic, sent with the intent to inspire democrats to vote. 💙

Mine are all going to voters in swing states.
