I was about to say good morning when I saw my post from yesterday. My iPad’s autocorrect is a PIA. if I type “too” it is apt to switch it to “to.”

It will often also randomly change words like “saw” to “was,” which I caught in this post prior to posting. 🤬

Anyhow, good morning. Time to go make coffee. ☕️

Awake to early and trying to be quiet so as not to wake everyone else up. It’s too early to get up and make coffee.

The one other creature in the house who’s awake is my cat. She’s purring and trying to get between my face and my iPad. I think she’s trying to tell me to put it away and go back to sleep.

I cannot remember how to get to the main site stream. My 5 columns are the countersocial bar where I am typing, My Friends, Notifications, #CaffeineClub which I previously pinned, and lastly another iteration of My Friends. I hit “Back” on that and it doesn’t go anywhere. I know at one point I had a sort of global feed there... can’t recall how to get back my site wide feed.

Went out to feed before dawn. The ground is saturated and extremely muddy from melted snow and rain. More rain in the forecast, and it will run off - ground cannot absorb it. Not looking forward to it. ☔️

On better news, it is Friday Eve! Yeah! 🎉 🎊

Rainy days are coffee days for me. ☕️

Good morning CoSo!

In one week we went from -44*F windchill to +57*F back to freezing (but not sub-zero). Last night the mud was so bad it was trying to suck the boots off my feet. This morning it was frozen solid. #MidwesternWinter

We had coffee and breakfast muffins while watching Colbert’s monologue. We rarely stay up to watch him, but find that breakfast with Colbert starts our day with laughter, which is our main way of coping with this disaster.

It was 5*F when I went out to do morning chores. The wind is strong and the windchill is substantially below zero. I bundled up and stayed warm, except my face. I need to find my balaclava. Tomorrow is supposed to be MUCH COLDER.

I am savoring the warmth of coffee with just the right amount of milk. Mmmmm. Nothing more comforting on a cold day than a warming drink.

It was warmer today when I went out to feed critters - about 1*F and only a breeze. There was a light snow over night and it looked like rabbits had a party - there were tracks everywhere. All the dogs were inside last night and the bunnies partied. 🐰

Warm is relative, isn’t it? Yesterday the windchill was about -25*F. 🌬

Now I am warming up with coffee. Mmmmm. Had one of those perfect, happy moments. ☕️

Awakened EARLY by an alarm from the weather radio advising us that the winter storm we have known about for days will be here tonight. So the Natl Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for tonight. At 6 am. Seriously???

Time to make coffee, I guess. Critters will be happy we’re feeding a little early.

Another day with the virus-from-hell. Goodness, it is the gift that keeps giving.

Fortunately there is NyQuil. Without that wonder drug I was getting zero sleep due to coughing. With it I am sleeping through the night.

It dawned on me moments ago, as I was looking at the news, that I haven’t slept WELL since Nov. 2016. 👀 This cold has a silver lining - drug-induced sleep. 😴 💤 🛏
