@process grandpa on the left had to fight in a war. Grandpa on the right had a sense of humor. Neither is better or worse, as humans have different experiences and facets

@MLClark @kenc313 indeed. We do align overall. I think interpretation is the root of many misconceptions or miscommunications. Thank you for your discussion, I wish you well in your endeavors as well

@MLClark @kenc313 we'll have to agree to disagree. I feel that every translation shows that she stands up for herself, and Jesus relents, realizes he can focus outside of his main focus, and heals the daughter. Additionally there is a translation element, in that people believe it was dog like an angry tone. The word used was kunarion. This has a different connotation. This is like the difference between "mangy mutt" and a familiar puppy (as in cared for but not considered)

@MLClark @kenc313 in regards to scripture, your examples lack a bit of context. The dog reference was an explanation as to his focus. Afterwards the daughter was healed. The woman wasn't directly called a dog. It was a term for gentiles, in that period. As for division, that was referencing the choice people had to make to choose the godly path or to choose the godless path. Evangelicals pick and choose chop shop scripture to excuse their hate. They have ears, but do not hear

@elmaxx @kenc313 to be fair it wasn't the ideology. It was the fact that the pharisees didn't like the idea that he spoke a version of their religion that didn't glorify or enrichen them... Eerily like some evangelicals now

@Nerdsleaze lol, no, they needed yelling. Front desk has always been the bain of my existence. For some reason they always had people who though their πŸ’© didn't stink

@Nerdsleaze that's for sure. I worked for a place that was a resort/hotel/convention center. It was wild. I still pride myself on being able to walk by people silently, like a ninja. Did you do front desk training? I never liked the Hilton way of encouraging illegal free timing, as part of front desk training. Of course, that could just be the area...

@kayleenmeow well said. It's important to understand what makes us tick. Self awareness is vital to health

@Nerdsleaze it's surprising how little people value hospitality experience. It's the people in the background that get things done

@DJNoneYa does anyone seriously think that the rapist, in this case, isn't going to suffer a living hell? I mean the forced wife will be able to ruin him for the rest of his days
