Why does November always feel like it came out of nowhere?

Very very surprised by how many kids were chowing down on their treats during trick or treat.

I’m such a square, apparently—telling my child she can have candy from our house only until we have inspected her candy.

Parents out here rolling the dice… and I am not one of them. 😱

That being said, I tossed maybe 7 pieces of suspicious candy. Mostly for being partially unwrapped lollipops or an unfamiliar brand of indecipherable sweets and one KitKat that was not quite the right logo. 🤨

Made it through the dual holiday. Managed to crush the class party as a room parent, got our rangoli done and dinner done before trick or treat. Made it out the door at 6:00 and home by about 7:30. Did our Diwali thing 🪔.

Utterly exhausted. Which means maybe I will not have the strength to stay up stewing in my anxiety and heavy feelings. Fingers crossed 🤞

@LnzyHou thank you. I am processing a little better now that we have a care plan. The wait is still making me so anxious. Monday I see the doctor for the mifepristone (unless things happen sooner without). 😓 I’m just please I won’t have to disappoint my daughter because she’s been jazzed for me to come do her school party for weeks.

@ArcturusSaDiablo yes! I love that. Also, I love seeing older kids/teens trick or treating. I would rather them trick or treat than be caught up in something sinister or stupid.

Happy Diwali to all who celebrate. Sent kiddo off to school with the promise that we would squeeze making our rangoli in before dinner and light the diyas after trick or treat.

Some memes are evergreen.

The prescriptions are in for those meds that MAGA fucks would make illegal if they take power again. Those meds that will give me a little more peace and control over the timeline of this devastating loss. This is an off-label use of mifepristone. I am having what they called a missed miscarriage, not an abortion. Not that that should be anyone’s damn business but mine and my husband’s and my doctor’s.

Not that I need to preach to many here on coso. But #voteblue, I beg you.

What’s worse than finding out you have a blighted ovum (empty gestational sac?)

Finding out that the ultrasound you had 13 days ago was a lower resolution and missed the fetal pole, which was visualized today. (Sudden flash of hope.) But stopped developing past 6 weeks (Fuck.)

Before there wasn’t anything to mourn. Just my body gaslighting me in every way.

And now there is. And they don’t think it will pass on its own but I have to talk to two more people first.
