The Vietnam War protests didn’t end the war. MLK’s protests didn’t end racism. Occupy Wall Street didn’t end financial corruption. And the protests of those sympathetic both to Israelis and Palestinians are having no effect.
It’s almost like the leaders don’t listen to the people. It’s almost like protesting is therapy the rulers allow to do now and then so we don’t get too out of line and threaten their power.
