Me, too. But I’m getting a little tired of always being the side that plays nice and doesn’t respond in kind. It doesn’t seem to be paying off.

@Jeber I think that people have somehow gotten the idea that to be good means you have to be meek and meek means roll over. And those of us who are good would prefer a kinder world.

But what's that line?

"It's not the Earth the meek inherit, it's the dirt"

I'm not into violence, and I'm not into punishment or revenge. But I'm into human rights and freedoms, and a living biosphere, and an end to the greed and evil choking the world. I'm into justice

But we musn't use extremis to justify doing evils of our own, and passing them off as good.

I don't know if it is realistic that taking back a world from oligarchs and dictators and hateful extremists will never involve anyone getting hurt.

But we have to stand on the side of life. We must make decisions based on what is good, not what we can get away with, or how mad we are.

Or we risk becoming the enemy.

If one uses force, it must be for solemn good. To protect, to uphold, to save.

There's this story...

A man walking down a road encountered another man with a donkey. No matter how hard the man pulled on the rope around the donkey's neck, the donkey wouldn't budge. The first man said, "Pulling like that won't work. You have to be warm and gentle." The man with the donkey said, "OK, you do it then."
