It's a political thing. Parents who are afraid their children may leave their church (and therefore go to hell 😱 ) don't want anyone teaching their children to challenge the beliefs they are teaching them. The teacher that tries is poking a hornets' nest in communities where most people are evangelicals.
@EileenKCarpenter @VelvetDuchess @JGNWYRK remember that religion always boils down to control. those parents aren't afraid of their kids going to hell, they're afraid they won't be able to control them anymore. just like they want to roll back every other aspect of social progress so they can be in control of everyone again.
