I think I'm getting the hang of this #baking thing, only having started at it a couple days ago. #cosocooks

Decided to make Rei a special treat, now that he's home from the hospital. I settled on baking my Nan's homemade bread. Kneaded by hand because she'd HAUNT me if I used a machine.💀

I had leftover dough, so I made the only thing Rei loves more than fresh bread:

Toutons. Similar to Bannock or Fry bread. Bread pancakes using Nan's recipe, served with butter and molasses. #cosocooks

Today was my first attempt at making bread, and it came out pretty damn perfect. This made an outstanding grilled cheese sandwich.

Grilled shrimp tacos, with the garlic ginger slaw that @Ironworker229 provided the recipe for. Very good, but I think I accidentally over cayenned, lol.

Lunch today: Baked haddock, jasmine rice, and steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Liberally doused with chile oil.

Beans are not so humble.

I just made black beans for dinner. In a pressure cooker from dried, then turned into bean dip in an electric skillet. Sauteed minced onion, jalapeño, garlic, with a dollop of white Miso, lime juice, and taco seasoning. So bean dip. With tortilla chips, diced avocado, sour cream and tomato salsa from a jar.

The woman heading the Space Marines on this planet is a hardcore 100 year old Spanish woman with a thick accent and seriously where are the angry white boys ... perhaps their PCs all blew up before they got to this first mission because I really haven't heard the usual psychotic shit from them in regards to this game ... they have gone silent? Hard to believe. This is Warhammer which has some of the most unwell fans of any fandom ... I'm genuinely surprised.
