Between the hurricanes and the Christmas cold snap, I have a few plants that seem to be struggling, mainly my Ackee, Lychee, and Tamarind trees as well as one of my Royal Palms. On the other hand, my key lime is blooming, that larger papaya is fat with fruit, and the flame vine and Brazilian Red Cloak are in full bloom and the Heaven Scent gardenia is pushing out buds. Even the lemongrass has seed heads.

It’s a snow day! 😍 It’s light and fluffy and so calm and quiet. The trees are coated and everything is gorgeous. I don’t always like the snow but today is a rare exception.

ICYMI:

Had a bad fall this past Monday the 16th. Got a concussion, a 2" gash in my left butt cheek, knocked my left knee replacement out of whack. All because I got a bad cramp in my left calf that made me lose balance as I was stepping up onto the landing in front of my house entryway. Blood tests on cramping have since proved inconclusive. I have a nephrologist appointment to see if my kidneys are at fault, since my leg edema is back as well. Appointment is February 6th.

I understand how the comparison is made and it's certainly flattering to think that anything I have to say is even remotely close to any level of philosophical genius from Harding or Collins 😂 It's not.
