@carmen I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. All the House has to do is vote to adjourn and send that to the Senate. If the Senate doesn't agree to the recess dates recommended by the House, Ole Trumpie boy can force Congress to leave and he gets his appointments.

No one Trump appoints to any role will be qualified for that role. The only goal is to burn everything to the ground inflicting as much pain/harm as possible.

@Siren_six It effectively killed the ethics investigation he was under. The report was scheduled to be released this Friday. Gaetz not in the House, no report gets released. Nothing to gum up his confirmation in the Senate.

@raspberrypanda on a slightly more positive note, if Gearz were confirmed, His House seat is open for special election. The more people Trump pulls from the House and Senate, the more chances Democrats have at regaining the majority since House seats have to be by special election and Senate seats can only be temporarily filled by appointment
