One thing I’ve learned about falls. Folks should have eyes tested annually. And change glasses as necessary.
After a lifetime of readers only, I had a spate of falls resulting in four broken wrists over a couple years.
Unbeknownst to me, my vision in one eye had deteriorated badly. My depth perception was badly affected. Thus the falls.
Just had eyes tested after 1.5 yrs & learned other eye has now deteriorated. Tripping had started again.
Now tests will be annual.
Today will be Loser45's probation interview. It will be a virtual hearing. IMO, the most interesting bit will be when he has to commit to not associating with anyone who has a criminal record.
At one time, circular economies were the way of the world. You'd buy candles made by people next door, they'd use that $ to buy a table from the guy across the road, he'd trade the money for the wine made by a family on the outskirts of the village & so on. No need for Small Business Week - all businesses were small businesses & the personal interactions strengthened local bonds.
Garage/yard sales are a callback to that time
