By now I'm sure most of you have seen/heard about Cody Roberts running over a wolf pup with a snowmobile, taping her mouth shut, parading around in the Green River Bar in Wy, torturing and eventually killing the wolf - but did you know he only had a $250 fine?
I won't post images of it (they're not graphic but they are disturbing).. but later on I'll post some of the petitions making rounds seeking proper justice... this tore my heart out
We are also pressuring the bar that most of this happened at, as well as giving very negative reviews/feedback towards his business - wanna chime in?

Now we learn the already terrified and injured wolf was tortured with a shock collar, while bar patrons laughed. CALL WY Game and Fish at 307-777-4600 or 307-777-4594. Demand that Director Brian Nesvick PERSONALLY condemn these actions and promise further legal consequences.

So I was just checking for something and I'm hearing that there may in fact be an investigation for this incident and if so hopefully the end result includes more severe charges including felonies... but so far I have not found any tangible sources backing the claim, and I'm at work so I don't really have the time to look deeper into this but I will after work count on it

@duglop So sad. Most don't realize how important wolves are to eco systems. Not to long ago they added them back to Yellow Stone and the rest of the eco system all grew stronger and more diverse. We need predator species like wolves/sharks etc to keep eco systems healthy.

@AskTheDevil I saw something earlier as I was scrolling through apparently he had an altercation with a mountain lion same type of situation recently but I can't find the post, and the bar seems to cater to that type of stuff given the fact that it's Wyoming and the penalties are minimal at best

People who do this to creatures they see as animals, do it because they like to hurt things weaker than themselves, when they think they can get away with it.
They'll do it to you, or your kids, or your pets if they think they can get away with it, too.
The only thing stopping them is cowardice.

This is horrific and heartbreaking. All animals have a critical role in our environment that we’ve already stressed pass the breaking point. The absurd arrogance that humans don’t have to turn around the #ClimateCrisis & have to stop hunting & killing animals to extinction must be enforced with national legislation and backed up with huge fines. I can’t believe it’s 2024 and we’re still acting like we’ll just move on to another planet after we destroy this one!
