This lovely dress was designed by
Austrian born American designer Sadie Nemser, (1886-1966). It's from the late 1920s and called "Secret Garden". It's an exemplary transition piece, with a lot of the 20s in it, but moving toward the length and sweep of gowns of the 30s.

Her insightful reporting and calm professionalism during a time of national crisis solidified her place as a trailblazer in the world of broadcast journalism.

Every year at this time, Nova Scotia sends a Christmas tree to as thanks for their incredible support to our city of after the devastating on Dec 6, 1917.
