I just sneezed and threw my back out. I have never thrown my back out before. My God this hurts

Okay so something in my lower back just popped and I can move now. I think it was just a kink in my back. It still hurts like hell but I can move so I'm hoping that's a good thing

@BosmangBeratna I don't have any of that cream but I've got other stuff here. I have scoliosis I've had it since birth. I'm not sure if I actually threw my back out or if it's just that acting up. I have nothing to compare it to when it comes to throwing a back out... I managed to get to the bed and no plans to move, but it hurts like hell... and thank you for the concern and the advice

@duglop happened to me a few times on site. Sucks hard, my dude. Big (air) hugs.

@BosmangBeratna honest question like I said I don't have anything to compare a thrown back to when it comes to a thrown back is it like it feels like something is preventing you physically from moving or turning or is it just that the pain keeps you from moving or turning because it feels like there's a kink there that if that kink will just pop I could probably move

@duglop

The pain stops you, as far as I'm aware. At least that's how I perceive it
Hurts like a blighter, my guy. Absolutely awful and persistent.

@BosmangBeratna yeah there's pain there but it feels like the best way to describe it like there's something physically there that just will not let me move I don't know how else to describe it... I can picture me trying to walk to the bathroom tippy toeing 🤣

@BosmangBeratna I've had that stiff back where you can't move and it hurts to move etc etc This felt worse than that I probably tweaked it pretty good

@duglop

Isn't aging fun? Lying flat on a hard surface with a heating pad under your back can sometimes help.

@BenA yeah that was my first thought about laying down on a hard surface I don't have a heating pad but I'm going to put some heating gel on my back in a little bit soon as it settles down a little it doesn't hurt as bad but I haven't moved either

@BenA I can't remember what brand it is but I have patches for stiff muscles and large patches for back pain so as soon as I can muster up the gumption to move I'm going to go grab a couple

@duglop
When that happens to me, usually in the day prior to the sneeze I moved something heavy or applied force from an awkward position. Muscles not used in a while are weakened and not ready for more. Then all it takes is a cough.

@Sr0bi I had literally just woke up but I have scoliosis so I get back spasms real easy, I don't think I've ever actually thrown my back out that I know of but that's what it felt like if I had to describe it

@Sr0bi yeah I was doing better and then I sneezed again now I'm in pain all over again but I can still move I'm just in pain now

@NorthernInvader @Sr0bi thank you I wish it was a back spasm because if it was a spasm I could rest assured it'll go away relatively soon...

@NorthernInvader @Sr0bi it almost feels like a strain but at the same time it almost feels like the oncoming of a major back spasm it's weird to explain at first it felt like there was something physically preventing me from moving like something was holding me still

@NorthernInvader @Sr0bi I mean 1 minute I'm moving better the next minute I'm gingerly moving can't bend can't do anything I don't like it

@duglop Wow -it certainly sounds like a wannabe spasm. Put a heating pad on the area, smoke joint and just chill out.

@duglop I picked up a piece of paper once and threw mine out.,
