Raising my hand here.
My eyes have severe problems trying to process text in Dark Mode.
Is there any way to embrace my elderly eyeballs and still read toots here?
@Shelter I saw some instructions around here somewhere I think. Let me look
@Vhines38
Thank you! I've been searching.
@Shelter So it looks like you might only be able to do it in browser view by using an extension for now ๐ฌ
I've seen several people complaining they can't read the dark mode well though so maybe they'll change it in the future
@Vhines38
Thanks!!
@Shelter nothing in app/site.
I believe itโs on the request list.
That said, there are browser extensions that can resolve.
Sorry, probably not the answer you were hoping for
@Beanc
Thanks! I've been searching.
@Shelter I think k Enid called dark reader? I always forget
@Shelter I think there may be a setting adjustment possible. Someone will pop in with a how to link soon, I suspect.
@Shelter That's an issue for me as well. I've looked in the user guide and searched in settings but haven't been able to find how to change it or if it's even possible. @th3j35t3r
Yeah I don't need to be cool.
I need to protect my eyes and brain.
@j0n
Thank you so much!
I guess I have to go to web instead of the app.
@Shelter , how are you currently viewing CoSo? There are a couple of workarounds depending on your preferred OS and device. I am usually on the Android app on my phone and turn my display brightness all the way down. I know there are extensions and stuff to modulate the display on laptop and desktop. @MrGoat posted a tip recently for making things less monochromatic/lower contrast. (#) CoSoTips might have it somewhere. Maybe try searching there?
@Shelter I just installed a Google extension called Invert which gives me a light background and dark text, if that's what you're looking for. I find it easier to read with my old eyes. Link (if it works) at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/invert/heidajcpkemganilmhockdniaknoojih/related
@Shelter P.S. About Invert - I'm using it on a PC.
Dark Mode causes actual headache.
If anyone can help, that would be great.
