“Georgia officials have dismissed all members of a state committee charged with investigating deaths of pregnant women. The move came in response to ProPublica having obtained internal reports detailing two deaths.”
Why? Because they didn’t like the leak that showed their deaths were preventable. So they think they fired the leakers. This is what happens when you try to suppress the truth.
Oh, yeah, the deaths are linked to the draconian anti abortion law.
After posting about missing Anna, Chonky came to bed with me and cuddled all night.
It's colder weather, but it's still something he's only done a couple of times before.

'Ruby Bridges Hall was the 1st Black child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana on Nov 14, 1960.
Bridges was 1 of 6 Black children in New Orleans who successfully cleared the test determining their eligibility to attend the exclusively white elementary school.
For the 1st yr, she needed federal protection every day w/ protesters at the school gates.'

'White parents withdrew their children & staff refused to teach Bridges, except for Barbara Henry from Boston. For an entire year, Henry taught Bridges alone, just the 2 of them in a classroom.
Bridges still lives in New Orleans & serves as chair of the Ruby Bridges Foundation, advocating for tolerance, respect, & diversity. she emphasizes that racism is an affliction that primarily affects adults & the importance of preventing its perpetuation thru the exploitation of children."

I miss my cuddle bunny.
Chonky is sweet, but Anna was always wanting to be in my lap or on my feet. Never imagined I'd miss waking up to her in my face.
Chonky seems fine Day after she ran away, he was pacing at the door, meowing. I thought he was looking for Anna, but it turned out someone had dropped a hotdog and he could smell it. If anything, he's happy to not need to compete for cuddles.

The '3.5% rule': How a small minority can change the world
BBC 13 May 2019
Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change.

Who me? Buy a book based only on the cover and title, without knowing anything else about it?
When the cover is this, then YES. (Actually, I'm on a book buying pause, so I just added it to the list... but I'll be buying it for certain.)
Eek! Coso Hive mind! My friend has a sweatshirt that says something like I would rather have them change their pronouns five hundred times than have to write their obituary. Idk where they got it. I'm looking on Etsy and some sites. Has anyone seen this for sale?

The Ukrainian city of Dnipro became the first city in human history to be struck by an intercontinental ballistic missile. It is a historic turning point. An intercontinental ballistic missile used not on a firing range, but against a city of a million people.

I'm wrapping up a draft of two documents and turning them over for review.
I just closed them both, thinking I was done. My manager needs to take a look at one of them, but then they can go to the next step in the process.
BUT, I wrote p 5 on the back of my hand. I remember doing it, so that I'd go back and edit something. But I don't know if I did it. Or what the change was, or even which document it was in.
