I don't have any year end wisdom, nor New Year pronouncements. I do have a broom, a mop, and hard wood floors to clean. This seems very appropriate to me. Not just the ritual of maintenance, and cleaning. But the task orientation of doing rather than talking about doing. This time of year is filled with lists, resolutions, and reflections. Yet the future is built on right actions, and right intentions. I read of hope, of good wishes, and of dreams. But it don't get the floors clean.

I'm starting to see Joe's offers of giving me the trailer and letting me put it on his land as common law alimony for a common law marriage, but if I ever run into someone I know from the streets, I'm telling them I got someone to kick me down a house.
