There's this thing where they put in overseas factories for bottling soda, caused drought issues from draining the aquifers, farmers started killing themselves because they couldn't support their families, the media blasted past it..... Pepsi does the same shit. One of those "whee, we like American things" fuckeries.

More specifically, if I've always liked boycotting Coke because of the water wars that they successfully diverted attention from with their "hey we love gay people" during the Olympics the year journalists started reporting on the issue, where should I be pointing my family to be supporting instead?

Hey, anyone here know a soda company or other small business endeavor I should be supporting?

@tippitiwichet I would say "satan" and "lucifer" aren't names, they're titles. Job descriptions. "Opposition" and "Light Bearer". I don't see why someone couldn't be both. Especially with the next few years looming in the US. @AskTheDevil

@AskTheDevil Let's see, what else may I have leaped over.... The first star we see at night is probably Venus. The planet of love. The morning star is the last planet to fade before dawn. Love. That's what lasts. This is how the pagans find their symbolism. Hmm. Tell me where else I may have lost you.

@AskTheDevil I have differing pop cultures than most, if I missed someone on the Satan = Lucifer Morningstar thing, well, it's in Gaiman's comic book and his interpretation of the devil.

WAAAAAIIIITTT "Morning Star" = Satan to Gaiman (my shortcut 'cause he has mythology facts), so is also the brightest thing we see on the horizon = Venus = love = Satan is love. Howdy @AskTheDevil

I have only a tiny handful of people I socialize with in real life, and I think all but one has heard of the joys of @Alfred and the fun a community bot can bring. I better tell her.

Once upon a time, someone wanted to give me an Xmas gift, but they didn't know me very well, so they gave me a thing full of Denny's jellies and glow in the dark bugs, and both were references to the odd things I did the two times in her presence, and it was the most thoughtful gift I ever got.

How to Leave Twitter (thanks to J):
1) Create a new Twitter account no identifying names etc.

2) Go to the account you're trying to obscure & change ur @/handle to make it available.

3). QUICKLY Go to the new account and change it's @/handle to ur original @/handle

4). Deactivate your original account.

Eventually your original data will cycle out of their backups & nobody can take your handle.

Working on a thing where I start doing weekly hashtags for what I feel will be critical subjects in the upcoming years. Well, and the last few but anyway, on blue sky and masta and such, doing weekly meme type posts with a hashtag. I'm thinking , with de-escalation tips and prob promoting righttobe.org and other similar places, and which probably is already a thing.

Anyone know if existing hashtags I can use instead?

Once upon a time, I saw a man pull a toddler's hair in public and I went off. A short while later, someone posted a link to this place in connection with an article about someone who got hurt while intervening in an unsafe manner. Ooops. I occasionally review my notes about their webinar on street harassment (5Ds), just realized we all might be seeing this more and more, please share widely.
