PET scan results are in. The tumor has shrunk to 3.7 x 3.0 cm, max SUV 6.7, was 4.5 x 3.8,
max SUV 18.1.
IMPRESSION:
1. Interval decrease in size and activity of the right middle lobe
adenocarcinoma consistent with positive response to therapy.
2. There are no foci of abnormal FDG activity to suggest metastatic disease.
The BEST news on a Friday!! Surgeon appointment on the 10th to discuss results of PET and Stress Test. Surgery date TBD but is on the horizon! 💜

We've seen more young children than usual come into the soup kitchen of late. I started taking in stickers, kraft paper and crayons for them to doodle with while they eat.
Two sibling girls utilized them today drawing brightly colored flowers with green grass and a yellow sun.
Despite the harshness of their reality, their laughter & creativity turned their situation into one of hope and wonder.
Even in the darkness, light and imagination can flourish. 💜

As we descend into the golden shadows of the spooky season, please remember and consider the elderly twins who live across the street from me and have confessed that one can sit in one room and draw a picture, and the other one will draw the same thing.

Did the sketch while flirty during the text fight. Did the pink background after I finally pushed him to be honest about his beliefs on record. Hate it. Tried to do the first again but my hand got too heavy and now it will have to be more saturated. Don't want it. Sigh. Glad I still have lots of paper. I guess I better listen to love songs instead of the news while drawing.
Oh, another flirt I threw out during the final showdown was thanking him for the trial by fire that gave me the strength to go toe to toe with him. I wonder how he really felt when I said that? Hmm. I think I get what my friends mean when they say I can be intimidating if I'm not careful.
