Okay, so I'm not sure of the deets, but I think my eldest's "friend" might be the one she's been talking about for years. If so, they dated and then broke up. They are now "like sisters". Joe is going to help her get into his field, she will be prosperous and flee this temporary shelter when this happens.

Omgs, I'm listening to this podcast, and I think I knew one of this person's victims, a woman who didn't like to talk about her childhood because people thought she was lying sometimes. We have that in common, and understood how to talk around our trauma, safely. She was both very open and hiding something awful. I think I know what it was now. 😮

Whelp, I've been downloading podcasts to catch up on things, and already got a data warning. I guess a few episodes of Hood Politics and Behind The Bastards will have to do. My oldest moved back in this summer, with the roommate who was sheltering her after my breakdown. Naturally, they came in assuming I am the main problem. But now Joe is gone again, the roommate is getting to know me away from his influence and attempts to control the family dynamics even though he struggles with addiction. Now the timid young lady (autistic, trans, traumatized) is more comfortable with me. She makes eye contact and seems relaxed around me and everything :).
