Dang. This was going to be a beautiful pitcher. All my plants are still waking up, this one was inside all winter, so it's the fastest growing and largest leaf in the collection, the color has been showing promise. I know pitchers attract a certain species of moth, this one was only outside for about a week before I decided it was drying out too quickly and brought it back in. That was long enough, I guess.

After my oyster mushrooms were harvested from my boxed kit, I put the mycelium in some sterilized shredded cardboard (with a bit of coffee grounds and molasses) and covered it with plastic wrap. It's working. No pinning on the larger colony I have in a clear plastic box yet, I did hear something about smaller areas will produce more quickly.

Great, just awesome. My television is advertising for autism awareness month with a thing that says "Asperger's" right on my homescreen. Maybe this household doesn't want to remember how the Nazis are connected to studies of autism and eugenics. Just because it doesn't bother every person with autism, doesn't mean it's okay to say. I'm sure Elon is quite proud to claim Asperger's. That's how not okay it is.

I keep seeing this "real life Snoopy" dog around the internet, and every time the "well, actually" child within me must be fought down and I must leave the post in silence before I start blurting, "Snoopy is a beagle, not a sheep dog." Tryin' real hard to not be a party pooper here, but it's getting unbearable.

This is the mantis that taught me what happens to their eyes at night. He sat on the same strawberry bush all day, I took pics of him for a drawing during the day, and went back at night to get some different angles, he was still in the same spot.
