Parrots video calling each other is the most adorable news I've heard in a long time 😍
Once waking, mid-morning bleary, as I stumbled blinking and yes, weary.
So many forgotten and ignored, a household chore.
While I showered, yearning napping, suddenly there came a zapping.
Some forgotten task half-remembered grappling, grappling with my mind’s stupor.
“Today is trash day” I uttered, “how have I forgotten? Need some clothes or robe… nothing more!”
Happy #EarthDay :). This is my second favorite holiday, after Halloween. I usually plant a tree, but the car is still busted, so I can't get to any seedlings :(. But I still have seeds for #pollinators left :). This year, I'm spreading them in the overgrown alleys between trailers, not just my yard. Last year, they were already spreading to areas nearby, so I figured I'd give them a little help. We'll have the cheeriest trailer park in the city :). Here's some buddies I've found on tickseed.
This podcast is my new favorite thing. It's so hard for me to find something spooky to enjoy that doesn't also trigger my PTSD lately, the world is way too stressful. This is very sad to me, I cut my teeth on horror. This show is cool though, not gory or overly creepy, not quite Buffy flippant, but certainly "I've been practicing my spooky voice lately, would you like to hear it?" Also the occasional cool musical interlude. I can't stop listening :)
I want to share someone on Mastodon's plea for a new planetarium. She goes to rural towns in Oklahoma, talks about science with people who start spouting flat earth theories and other such at her, and tells them she will read one book they recommend if they do the same, then recommends Carl Sagan's Demon Haunted World, and gives them her email so they can talk about it. She works hard to teach critical thinking, and a larger audience would be cool.

Nature, science, and art are super cool. Terribly sorry for the stuff that doesn't fit.
